ROCK ON!!!

So I still haven't gotten my headphones, even though I ordered them.
*checks email*
Oh.. okay, well I seem to be getting them this afternoon :)
But that still gives me time to bitch about my old headphones.
You know how everyone hates it if there this guy (or girl) with headphones or earplugs that don't lock off the sound and more or less are as loud as in your ear as to the person sitting next to you?
And since they got their earplugs in, you cannot ask them to turn down their music, since it's not very polight, then again, it's not very nice to make everyone listen to your crappy music even though you find it cool.
But I had my oldies earplugs in today when me and my brother went to school, when I was listening to some music when my brother asked me "Why are you listening to church-music?". I was in fact listening to the Toccata from Bach, which sounds like church-music, but is in fact just organ-music and has more connection to horror-movies (the intro) than church. Actually I don't know.. I don't go to church :P
Here's to people who don't know what I mean:
So yeah, aparently, my music, even though the volume was set to medium, everyone could hear my music.
I was becoming that guy who made the rest of the tram listen to his music. And even though I find my music the shit, I KNOW for a fact that 80% of the tram (or more) didn't like it.
No-one in their right mind would listen to gay 80's music, classic rock, classical music and movie- and gamethemes. Well, only me really.
Though if you're a girl and you totally listen to the above, drop a comment and we could "make some music together" ohyeah!
... worst euphemism ever...
But seeing as I will use my headphones tomorrow, no-one but me will have to "enjoy" my taste in music. Good for them ;)
DECAPITATIOOOOOOON!!!
I can't believe I haven't blogged about this. It's simply mindblowing as Uri Geller would say. Seriously, I still don't know if he's a fraud of if it's real.. I guess I'm just too down-to-earth to believe all that stuff. It would be cool though.. damn...
But I venture off....
BRUTAL LEGEND! It's awesome! I downloaded the demo on Xbox Live this friday and after waiting for it to play for more than 2 years, I finally could. I was simply blown away. The game is freakin' awesome.
I can really recommend anyone to download the demo and see for yourself!
For those of you who have no clue what I mean, Brutal Legend is the new game of DoubleFine, company of the genius Tim Schafer, creator of Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango and Psychonauts. Brutal Legend is the second game from DoubleFine and if we know anything from Tim Schafer's work, we know that this game is again gonna blow people away.
Psychonauts wasn't exactly the popular attraction for many mainstream gamers, but that's maybe because it's not as simple as your average shooter. If you haven't played it, do that as well. The demo can be found on Steam and Xbox Live!
Check out my review of it as well!
But this is not about Psychonauts. No! This is about Brutal Legend.
To quote Mr. Schafer, you don't have to be a pirate to like Monkey Island so you don't have to be a rocker to like this game.
I mean, I like old 80's rock. But metal not that much.
I even gave the soundtrack of the game a try by searching YouTube for the music and honestly it was not my cup of tea.
But then the amazing thing happened.
When I played the game, I noticed they phased the music into each other making sure that the music changes to everything you're doing which makes the music feel alive and *matter*!
The music wasn't annoying at all. It was actually making the game better!
The game itself... it's really creative and original. A roadie Eddie Riggs, gets "pulled" into this world of rock when his magic beltbuckle catches some of his blood and when waking up in that world, Eddie must try to find out why he is there and what he can do to get out.
The story progresses really cool and as we've experienced from DoubleFine, the characterdesign and especially the animations are very well done. I heard a co-worker bitch about the easy controls, and sure, they're easy, but they're EASY TO LEARN, HARD TO MASTER.
That's right. I literally could go on all freakin' day about how awesome Brutal Legend is, but I'm not gonna do that, since you've already been reading for a long time :P
So instead, I'm gonna give you a nice vid to watch and tell you to download the demo, or else Ormagoden is gonna give us Swine Flu :(

It is indeed an awesome game. I found it a bit short, but that's my only complaint. But maybe i just couldn't get enough of it.. Still trying to find the last few serpents to get 100%. But i love it, the game play, the spectacular art style and architecture, the cameos (especially the bat cave side mission, heh.), and the story, i could go on..
I haven't found a game in a while that made me feel a connection and feeling for the characters in a long time.
Anyway, enough from me, it's your blog Mick.
Great game... heh.
