CHANGE!

This week, I recieved an email from the guy who helped me with the php of MickM.com, that because of an unfortunate turn of events, he wasn't able to continue working on the site.

Those events also explain why so much time has passed since the pre-launch and today.

As the owner of this site, I take full responsibility even though it may not have been my undoing. But what's done is done and I cannot change the past. What I can, is change the future. And that's what I'm going to do.

I recieved many emails from friends, visitors and members, who are all anxiously awaiting the final version. Right now, all it needs is a new forum-skin and a kick in the pants regarding the tutorials. But after this weekend, those will be rolling again.

I've also recieved a few emails from people who regret that the launch isn't going as smooth as I promised. There's only one explanation for that. I am alone. I don't have a team of 8 people behind me doing all this stuff. I just had a coder who helped me with the backend and the forum and that's it.
Added to that is the fact that I'm a perfectionist, which makes it twice as hard considdering I had to redo everything, just because I wanted to. But all for you ;)

Skinning the Forum
But now that I'm alone again, I have one request. I have recieved a few emails from people who offered me their services regarding skinning the forums. If I could do it, I would have done it, but remember that it would take longer. (Maybe if I did it from the beginning, it would have already been done, but enough about that)

What I need is someone who can turn a .psd with supplied images and a mockup into a working phpbb3 forum-skin.

The new Staff
And with a new skin, also comes a new management. I've noticed that over the past few weeks, the people in charge of certain things, weren't available for personal reasons or just because they didn't want to be there.

And either way, we can't have that, because there are many other members who are willing and able to serve the cause.

If you will go to this topic, you will get a chance to vote on your favorite member(s) to fill a position.
Or maybe you got what it takes. Over the course of next week, I will determine which people are most suited for the job by looking at your posts and by the end of next week, we shall have a new forum-management that we can be proud of.

And on that note, I would like to thank the members and visitors that have kept on posting on the forums and the comments and I assure you that things will drastically change into something better!
