Public Transportation Rant

"Frick on a stick!" As Elliot Reid from Scrubs would say.

I've seriously had it with the public transportation in my country. The government wants people to use the public transportation more, but don't seem to realise that in order to make something appealing, it has to BE appealing and better than the method you're trying to convert them from.

No awfull word about the trans because apart from the fact that they can be late and often bump into each other or derail and hit each other, they're reasonably ok.

The trams are a different story. When a train arrives on a station a bit too soon, it will wait untill it will reach the next destination on time, because you don't want to catch the unknowing travellers by surprise. The tram doesn't do this. When it's early, you're fucked and the driver will not give a crap.

When a train is late, it will appoligise. It won't offer anything in return, but at least has the "cojones" to tell you he was wrong. The tram doesn't do this and if you complain, they kick you out saying you best find another method of transportation.

And if a train conductor sees people running to catch the train, he/she will wait untill those people have boarded. The tram doesn't. Sometimes they do it, but I've seen MORE and MORE situations where the driver just ignores the person or just WANTS to ignore them.
I've experienced once that I was running to the tram and I gestured the driver while running that I wanted to board and he waved back meaning that I could. I tripped over my coat and smacked on the ground. The driver closed the doors and drove off laughing. I was so pissed I wrote a letter and demanded an appoligy from the driver. But the guys at Connexxion all cover each other behind and all I got was an angry reaction.

And today, the day that I wanted to go to the movies with 2 good friends, the tram AGAIN makes it impossible for me to do what I want.
I arrived at the station and the tram just didn't show up and a sign was put up that because of unknown reasons, the tram couldn't drive.

I hate slackers. But what I hate even more is slackers that make it impossible for other people to do their work OR anything for that matter.

If there's one thing that recently deceased friend taught me, it was to be positive about everything and to always find something positive, but right now I just don't see anything positive about the trams other then that it's also a way of meeting hot girls. That's all...

Care to commment this?
