Grapplon Controls 23 June 2008

Grapplon was a conceptual game for the Wii made for a schoolproject for the clients Bluetongue and THQ. For this project I modelled 2 hands and the 2 simplified controllers of the Wii. This movie was played as an instruction-video for the controls. Read more about this project on the projects-page.

Grapplon Conceptual Shipdesign 13 June 2008

Grapplon was a conceptual game for the Wii made for a schoolproject for the clients Bluetongue and THQ. This conceptual design of the avatar-ships was declined by the client because the prefered the cartooney style more. THQ did say they loved the uniqueness of this design. El Diablo 9 February 2008
El Diablo

El Diablo

As an ISA, an Individual Study Assignment, I turned my drawing of my version of Satan into a 3d-model. I tried to make it look like a cartooney model inspired by games such as Grim Fandango and Psychonauts. FOr the assignment I made a fully rigged and textured model of El Diablo.
Why can't the devil be someone like Don Juan if he's out to seduce people in selling their souls? I gave him a mexican touch to accentuate the Don Juan-feel. Obviously the guitar is there because he's the king of rock!

SunnyCars Christmasgame 26 November 2007
Sunnycars

For my internship at Soepel, I worked on a project for the client Sunnycars. My job was to work on the gamedesign, the interface-art and the 3d-models and animations. TOgether with my co-worker/mentor, I came up with 6 characters for the game. The game took place in the showroom of Sunnycars, where it was your task as a player to make cars that the customers wanted.
A simple point-and-click game where you had to "pimp" rides. I modelled Memhet the gay Golfer and Santa Claus. I also modelled Santa's sled and the Reindeers, which were based on a horse-model made by my other co-worker/boss.

MickM.com logo v3.0 4 November 2007

After creating my new and 3rd version of my logo, I thought about the possibilities. Since this was a very simple shape, I could easily turn it into a 3d-model for some extra usage of animation. The model itself may look sloppy, but the lines and there for extra suppleness in animations.

FreeRunning EXtreme Park 3 June 2007
Freerunning EXtreme

FreeRunning EXtreme was a conceptual game for the Xbox 360 which won the Microsoft Devdays Gamedesign Challenge 2007. For this project I was in charge of the 2d and 3d-design of all the characters and the leveldesign. Sadly, I didn't find the characters "worthy" enough to be posted here. The environment however did make it! Read more about this project on the projects-page.

Fheel 11 February 2007
Fheel

For our class of 3D-modelling we had to create a vehicle that could travel through the sky, through water and on land. Fheel stands for Flying Wheel and is in fact an scouting-droid which uses his wheels to drive across land. The fans on the side can rotate so he can also use it to move foreward in or under water and it also functions as helicopter-blades.

My Mind 25 December 2006
My Mind

I always wondered what my mind would look like in visualisations. Obviously the mind of something abstract, so it cannot be seen. I guess I was a little inspired by the mindcontrol-system of Edward Nygma in Batman Forever. I chose for purple because purple reminds me of dreams for some reason.

Superman and the Kryptonite monster 23 December 2006
Superman

I made this scene when I wanted to explore my 3d-skills a little. I used both 3D Studio Max and Photoshop for this. What you see here is Superman doing his best to destroy the large Kryptonite monster. Superman is property of DC Comics. The Kryptonite monster is purely fictional as far as I know...

Submerged Tentacles 12 December 2007
Tentacles

One of my first high-poly 3D tryouts where I also used Photoshop to "pimp" it a little. Nothing more then a few tentacles partially submerged in a lake.
